Privacy policy

Who we are

This site is operated by Shingle Life LLC (“Shingle Life”, “we”, “us”), a roof rejuvenation contractor serving the Phoenix metro area. Arizona ROC license ROC #TBD. Our postal address, phone number, and email are at the bottom of this page and on the contact page.

This policy covers this website and the assessment requests it receives. It does not cover work performed under a signed service agreement, which is governed by that agreement.

What we collect

Information you give us

The assessment request form asks for the following, and nothing else:

Property address

So we know which roof you are asking about and whether it is in our service area.

Approximate roof age

A range, selected from a list. It determines whether treatment is even worth discussing.

Symptoms you have noticed

Checkboxes describing what the roof looks like. Optional — “none of these” is a normal answer.

Your name, email address, and phone number

So we can reach you to arrange the assessment and send you the report.

Whether you would rather be called or texted

So the first contact arrives the way you asked for it. “Either is fine” is one of the three answers.

If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation for the same purposes.

Information the form collects automatically

Three technical values are submitted with the form, and we would rather list them than let you find them in the page source:

An empty decoy field

Hidden from you and visible to automated scripts. If it arrives filled in, the submission is discarded as spam. It never contains anything you typed.

How long the form took to complete

A duration in milliseconds. Submissions completed impossibly fast are treated as automated. This is a timer, not a recording of what you did.

Which page you submitted from, and a one-time submission identifier

The page path tells us which page answered your question. The identifier is a random value used once, so that a network retry cannot book you twice.

Information saved as you type

Our contact forms use lead-management technology provided by Cyberlion Leads. Information you enter into a form — such as your name, contact details, and message — may be saved as you type, including if you do not press submit, solely so we can respond to your inquiry and improve our forms. This information is retained briefly, never sold, and never used for unrelated purposes. To have it removed, contact us.

In practice this means an abandoned form can still reach us as a partial enquiry. If you would rather it did not, do not type into the form — call or email us instead, using the details at the bottom of this page.

Information collected by our hosting providers

This website is served by Google Firebase Hosting, and the assessment request form is received by Cyberlion Leads. Like effectively all web infrastructure, both produce server logs that may include IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, and browser user-agent strings. These are used for delivery, security, and rate limiting.

Why we collect it

To respond to your request, arrange and perform the roof assessment, send you the resulting photographs and condition report, quote work where treatment is appropriate, and keep records of what we assessed and recommended. We also use aggregate, non-identifying information to understand which pages of this site are useful.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other contractors, lead brokers, or advertising networks.

How we contact you

When you submit the form, you are asking us to get in touch about your roof, so we will reply by phone, text, or email using the details you provided. That contact is about your request. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking, and any message we do send you for marketing purposes will include a way to stop receiving them.

Reply STOP to any text message to end texts, or tell us on the phone or by email and we will note it. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Who else processes it

We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes information only to provide its service to us:

Google Firebase Hosting

Serves the pages of this website and produces the associated server logs.

Cyberlion Leads

Receives assessment requests from the form, and provides the lead-management technology described under what we collect — including the as-you-type saving of anything entered into a form on this site. It processes that information only so that we can respond to you.

Email and scheduling providers

Used to reply to you and arrange the visit. Nothing more is shared with them than what that requires.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and analytics

This site currently sets no cookies and loads no analytics or advertising scripts. There is no tracking pixel, no session recording, and no third-party JavaScript of any kind on these pages.

If that changes, this section will change with it and the “last updated” date above will move.

How long we keep it

Assessment requests and the reports produced from them are kept as business records for as long as they remain useful for servicing, warranty, and legal purposes, and no longer than any period required by law.

Partial form entries — anything saved as you type that never became a submitted request — are retained only briefly, and are deleted on request without question.

Your choices

You can, at any time:

• Ask what information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your enquiry — including anything a form saved as you type but you never submitted — subject to records we are required to keep.
• Ask us to stop contacting you, by any method or all of them.

Security

The form is submitted over an encrypted connection, and the service that receives it validates and rate-limits what it accepts. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise. Please do not send us financial account details, government ID numbers, or anything else sensitive through this website — we never need any of it to look at a roof.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for property owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the site after that means the revised policy applies.
